A typical afternoon Guild session at ESG includes sharing a meal, participating in drama games and skills, listening to the telling of the biblical story, meeting in guild groups to share personal reflections on the story, and experimenting with drama, music, art and dance to find creative ways to tell the story to the community in an annual play.
We are all sent with a blessing and song at the end of our time together. As the children and youth immerse themselves in exploring the story and the script, the hope is that they will also find their own lives being shaped by God’s Story. ESG was birthed out of Grandview Church as a way of exploring God’s Sacred Story amongst children, youth and adults in our worshipping community and in our neighbourhood.
